Five haiku for a Rochester February by Christina GleasonIn dim winter skies
the day's colors will fade first,
get blue, then blacken.
*
Condensed breath kicks back-
the wet, white words in the air
make our faces pink.
*
The wind when we sleep
rails at us to be let in,
becomes dreams' soundtracks.
*
After you have gone
the moon will be full again-
an eye, opening.
*
Days have become warm,
wash the world for waiting March-
the grays before green. 02/22/2004 Posted on 02/23/2004 Copyright © 2025 Christina Gleason
