lying broken still by Wendy Gealmy name lies like limp petals constantly wilting
until your lips color it shades of sweet red
i cant stop the shivers crawling up and down my spine,
when you say it,
little trickling kisses that drizzle and mist like perfect rain
and these temperatures of you
whirling out sometimes cool and then warm
this energy makes the blood in me rush so loud -
i think you must be able to hear it
i cannot speak anything; my pulse fades each
shattering word
so i swallow them and they lie broken -still in my chest
your eyes dig them out like sweet artifacts you uncover-
lips against mine, hushing them into the dark
