Prologue: Dreams Coming True

by Quinlan L Gibson

Let me get this straight, suddenly everything I want is at the gate; knocking at my heart.
Is this the part where someone says “it’s too good to be true” ?
Even after all the years of my dying wanting you to say those words?
I knew I’d feel them upon contact, put my pulse into contractions when they landed
Brought to tears because two years I had declared that love alone.
Now I feel I’ve known this all along, though confirmation of it turned us twice as strong.
I cannot possibly be meant to have it be so good so long; You are a gift.
Sent to uplift this dying girl; take her slowly by the hand show her the beautiful world.
Her soul unfurled, she got your love and it’s as fragile as her own.
Let it be known, I’m yours forever for the time we’re given here
Take my life into your hands I want to feel it bloom and dance me through those trying times
For all your ways just simply make things better, and together leave immortal lines, in the sand...

Author's Note: A small panic attack over the increased risk of hurt and pain on this new level. Whoo, I'm a bleeder! :)

this really hits home. it reminds me of past relationships compared to the current and exactly how much people do affect ou lives. how much we really do need...someone else.

it's so great to read that dreams actually still can come true :)
