Divisional Addition (Lust-Hate Hybrid)
by Trisha De GraciaI am on the peak.
I am breathing-
barely
audible sound
flowing
through red perforations in
lifeless
flesh.
What may I feel?
I am on
this peak
and the sound of your voice is
glass underfoot.
these brittly junctures
are cracking
coming apart at crystal seams
too small to notice
then bigger
bigger
BIGGER
and filling the air with
crunching and breaking
the sound is my bone
I am kissing the earth
while my lips slide under the dirt.
This life is not enough.
I am on
this peak.
I am on the peak.
Balanced and bare(ly)
breathing
to you through
my unfeeling skin.
You take what is left of my sorrow.
the passion that wells
inside of a human
you turn into burns
from the inside.
You scorch.
You combust.
I disassemble to ashes.
I am on
the peak.
I need to fall screaming
convulsing and shuddering down
to the end of this.
Or
let me soar through your bars
I could throw off the holds
you do nothing but paint me more shades
of sickening grey.
