Topic: Fear No More {The Heat Of The Sun}

by J. P. Davies

I'll stand on waving grass,
gazing blurrily down at you.
You, my friend, my smile.
The razor wind whistles
through bare trees.

Making tears cold
carving down my face
We were inseperable,
now I'm alone.

A salted rain splashes
on this small marker,
as I attempt to grasp
at memories.

Leaving me here, alone
to carry on a life,
you couldn't take.

I'll stay here,
and miss you.
While you sleep,
and fear not the heat
of the sun.
