Broken mind, broken heart
A broken soul that's ripped apart
Broken friendships, broken trust
Broken memories begin to rust
Broken promises, broken thoughts
Broken bonds for which I've fought
I am living a nightmare and I can't be woken
No one can fix me, I will always be broken
Author's Note: total despair...

Brilliant!!! Sometimes poets overuse a word in their poem in an attempt to highlight a point, but it just makes for a dull read. However, your usage of "broken" fits perfectly!!!
