*topic* in my garden of silk and stone (style 1)

by Kimberly Bare

Once I stood so alone
in my garden of silk and stone.
Loathing contradictions
as the boone of all existence.

Why the hatred to the love,
or the vulture to the dove?

The darkness needn't shade the light
so I thought on endless nights.

Then a hand held out to me
and a new path I did see.
So the light is fully felt
darkness also must be dealt.

Contradictions of joy and strife
certainly make an interesting life.
Now that I'm no longer alone
in my garden of silk and stone.
