Two Heroes and the Demons

by Dana E Brossard

Short, stout and kind of yellow.
Decked out in white and silver.
Smile on his face and hair down his back.
The gnomish Priest of Din was pure.

Tall, thin and a little green.
Protected by the brown of leather.
Peace in his heart and wind in the hair.
The elven Druid of the Wood was true.

Dark, sinister and all black.
Hidden by the night and shadow.
Cruelty on the face and hatred in the mind.
The demon Army of Darkness was vile.

Now young ones gather close,
For each has a different story,
Pray tell which you would have me speak of.

Now now, calm down young ones,
One is not better then the others,
Yet all get better if told in two's.

Two Heroes against the night,
Care to hear their story both,
Or perhaps just one hero and the demons?

this is so strong as you draw the parallels from first hand experience. One of your best, yet again, and so good to find today and know you're well. I hope everyone on here recognizes the worth of our soldier poet's role as poet of witness. Know matter what their convictions, it's heroic.
