lonely by Emily Davidsoni'm not lonely, i swear. i'm just alone.
there's a difference.
everybody's got their somebody,
their person to tell secrets to,
to hold under the sheets,
to say "i love you" to.
not me.
i'm just alone.
most people walk down the street with their fingers
doing some sort of
tango
with someone else's hand, but
i walk down the street with my hands in a fist
in my pockets.
because no one will hold my hand
and i don't want anyone to, anyway.
everyone's got a "honey" or a "baby." not me.
i'm not lonely, i swear.
i'm just alone. 01/28/2004 Posted on 01/29/2004 Copyright © 2024 Emily Davidson
