Dial-tone Stage Fright by J. P. DaviesPushed the first three,
four more to go.
But my hands just shook.
Heart raced.
So click on the cradle.
I'm backing out again.
So few nerves ready,
to mutter, "Hello."
I can see you,
sitting at home, alone.
Good luck, trying to fight
this compulsive invasion.
I pick up again,
willing the digits,
to force themselves pressed.
Done, ring, ring, click.
I can't go through,
with bothering you.
You don't need my troubles,
not anymore...
Sitting here,
and the anthem of insecurities,
plays the soundtrack
to my lonely entity.
"Please hang up,
and try your call again."
I'll try again...
when my hands will obey.
