stupid little clown

by Nanette Bellman

stupid little clown
just a petty picture
but
i'm ignited to do these things
that are such a waste of time

stupid little clown
who breaks my laws of words
and sets me boundaries
and rhyme
and that damned meter.
does he know that such wonders
contain no limits
and no boundaries
and only Heave's law is made
and perceived
by the one's who want to go
the ones who can see

stupid little clown
who was bowled over
by those tight-rope walkers
the real stars
the real wonders
who'll do what their heart
tells them to do
to make their way to Heaven
