numb

by Richard Trotter

Bony hands, they shy away
voices dissipate, calender breaking
wrinkles forming, looming chords
shuffling clouds on the guilty citadel-
lost is the kingdom that fears to want,
desire, turning with the force of empty pockets
where did you go? dried up reservoir in a crater
expecting too much, I might need you
when my face hits the pillow.

I agree with norma, those 2 lines are so powerful. I guess I'm not the only person who feels numb then, well captured. The last line tied it all together quite brilliantly. xxxx

The last line is so powerful to me... Though I was reeeally slooow at realizing you're a member again, I'd like to say it's great to have you back! :)
