You Upon Me Is Enough to Make the Summer Come by Wendy Gealthe cold is ever- numbing with its
december air, winter solstice
quite serene until realization
carries itself through the chill- struck air
slightly unamusing with each passing year
and as springs awful warmth grows and soils
itself into the glistening earth
i remember you and the way the rain fell upon
our moon bleached skin and
as the sun perched itself on the echoing horizon
it stained us sweetly with its pink kiss
and stripping the coldness from our bare chests
the warmness of your whispering breath,
aghast, upon me is enough to
make the summer come

Posted by Richard Trotter on 01/24/04 at 01:23 AM beautiful and romantic piece, i really like it. Great title as well. |
