pass me the sugar

by Rachelle Howe

i want to gnaw on your marrow.
you're sure to taste sweeter
in your veins than
between your thighs

you've been checked in
and i signed you out of my flesh.
your stupidity has been tattoo'd
across my forehead, for i
handed you the papers to your sanity

and you said
thank you mistress, thank you
very much

but you bled down, you laid
those wishes with the tomb of your
steel toed boots as they were wedged
between my shoulder blades
and i asked you
whether or not you saw blue anymore
whether or not you were
and you said

yes
but no,
and all at once i was a whirlwind.

Author's Note: delirium. me and sarah allard, inspired by her, written by me, and god, i'm getting the big D word tattoo'd across my ass (as i told her. rawk.)
