she blooms

by Ann Lauren

She blooms in morning glory light
With gentle heart and lack of sight,
The days are numbered by slivers
And beating wings, jade and silver.
Her bejeweled elegance is sleek
With pulse so short, intense and meek,
The green petals blush at her sight,
Flirtation is simple in flight.

It's been too too long. This was beautiful.
