Every Second I Love You More

by J. P. Davies

For you I would walk a thousand miles in any direction
and lose myself in any attempt to find you.
You are what calls me...my beacon.
You understand what it feels like to be lost.
I am so grateful for your embrace when these
tears are flowing again because words like daggers
are emitting from flames of history.
I wish I could put her from my mind,
and think only of you. I'm trying, I am.
But when someone knows your soul to the
deepest essence it's just hard to let them go.
But I'm trying to love you with all of my heart
and surrender my soul to you.
It's hard to let go of a love in your life,
small or large, that was there through so much.

I love you, and never mean to make you cry.
If you need me to I will hold you until
you want me to stop. I am in this, for better or worse.
I will not make the same mistakes with you.
If you are on the couch and I'm on the chair.
I'll move to be by you.
If I'm reading a book and your there,
I will throw in a bookmark.
If the hockey game is on,
commercial breaks are for you.
(Sorry)

It's just that I don't want to feel numb.
Like I began to towards her. It ripped
my heart out once and if it happened
again I fear recovery would take too long.
So I'm giving you all of me, know this much is true.
I love you more today, than yesterday.
Every second I love you more.

Author's Note: Trish...I love you. Don't let my confusions tell you otherwise. I would not jump now.

Absolutly lovely. Very romantic and filled with emotion. Loved the last stanza!
