I used to dream about you

by Aaron Howard

I used to dream about youÂ… now I only thinkÂ…
I used to love youÂ… now all I do is drinkÂ…
I canÂ’t listen to dave anymore, he reminds me of moments with youÂ…
I canÂ’t mention you, in fear of muttering something true..
I had this image of you ingrained in my mind
And now, I must have been blindÂ…
I struggled for independence before me met
And I guess thatÂ’s just what I getÂ…
A dream faded into a reality
And I guess youÂ’ll never come back to meÂ…
We might talk and flirt over the phone..
But ItÂ’s me whoÂ’s always sleeping aloneÂ…
I dream of the days back when we still were in love
And how we just couldnÂ’t get enoughÂ…
Now we just shrug and say I dunno
But we both know where we wanna goÂ…
Snuggling deep in your neck as I crawl towards sleep
With all these little sexual secrets to keep
How you moaned, the words you said as you came
And now, nothing can ever be the same.

How could you look them in the eyes the same again
As you penetrated them in your lustful sin..
How can you utter that name
And think of them the same?
How can you talk about them cold

You snipped a lock of my hair while I slept.. and into my dreams you crept
Taking my parts along with yours
And if you asked where my heart is, IÂ’d say it was hersÂ’.
I thought about myself long ago
And now she is all IÂ’ve ever come to know
SheÂ’s wrapped my world up in her arms
And IÂ’m just a sucker for her charms
I wouldnÂ’t want it any other wayÂ…
And itÂ’s sad to think , I love you is all I can sayÂ…

Head hazy with sleep depravation
Locked out fo my internal regulation
Stuck in this lifelong of frustration
So here is my resignationÂ…
IÂ’m done fighting the good fight for peace

Eyes crossing without permission
As we collide and our souls fissionÂ…
I dream about you with my eyes wide open
And for your love, IÂ’m hoping..
IÂ’ll seduce you in your sleep
Just so IÂ’ll have another secret to keepÂ…
Loving you in your dreams..
Making love to you until the sunÂ’s early beams..
Wrapped your hair around my fingers
And even after youÂ’ve left, your essence still lingers
I can smell you on my ski and on my breathe
And IÂ’m scared that I might love you to death.

"I can smell you on my ski and on my breathe And I’m scared that I might love you to death." should be "I can smell you on my skiN and on my breath" the "e" makes it "breathe" instead of "breath."

good luck. missing ex's is a nasty habit. lamenting sucks.
