Of a Plain land

by Leandra K Brossard

I've always loved the fields of the Ilden Plain in spring,
the daisies dip and nod amidst the fields of sweet blue grasses,
to the west the purpling mountains rise in majesty, as they ever have,
and the swell and flow of the rising tide of peoples slowly passes.

The simple blooms of Luinetide set my mind at ease,
as the swells of the great water of the world does for others,
oh that my life be full of simple times, times for light and laughter such as this,
I fear the stench of war shall come too soon upon us, the smoking rage of men that smothers.

a nice evocation of a fantasy landscape , I like the flower imagery and the looming darkness at the end is very effective.
