i told you no by Kalikala Smithso it was sick hovering, and deep and porous,
and i was sick laying, and sink sinking.
cold floor covering, and slate receeding,
and breathing heavy and heart beating.
"leave me alone,"
she cries, because she is detached from reality.
light lighting, dim surface blurring,
crawling across the floor, and safety returning.
brimless, brought this, bribing for comfort,
broken, brazen, buying time with sobs.
silent motioning, still this being,
surfacing, breaking through to thoughts,
"die."
