Tranquil Waters

by Adrian Calhoun

Here we stand,
facing the sun
chasing away last nights clouds.
Not sure what this day holds,
still lingering on the fuel of yesterday.

Forging love,
our hearts were cast into the fire.
Passions contained within,
burned us both.
Tempers flared,
raging emotions compelled us.

Seeking gentler tides,
we came to rest on these shores of tranquility.
Each finding meaning for existance
in the other.

I seeing the very being
of my inner most soul in you.

As I stand looking back over the memories,
I am yearning for more.
While slowly, the colors begin to fade,
and all the life that once was,
is washed away.

Simply beautiful, with wonderful imagery and raw heartfelt emotion. Powerful words in a truly poetic piece. This says it all! XOXOXO *hugs* & *S* This has become my new favourite.
