Rollercoaster My Soul

by J. P. Davies

Flip me, spin me.
Rollercoaster my soul.
I'm flying too high
for you to stop me.
It's crazy, like me.
Whoop-dee-doos!
Greet me as your own.
For you are mine.
We are too golden
for mere trivialities
to mar, or blemish,
this sweet thing, baby.
Needless to say, it's
been a long time coming.
But the game is over,
and the clock isn’t running.
So from here on in,
it's the real deal, honey.
And losing yourself to me,
is just part of the ride.
So get taken for me, sugar.
I won't disappoint
My middle name's "Stellar".
Or so I anoint.

sounds like someone's in love, and the poem is a perfect reaction.

Well, for someone "not capabale of emotional or serious poetry..." this one came out just fine anyway. I'm going to have to read some more to see what you CAN do when you feel capable!!! LOL
