I am a Snowflake (written when I was 10)

Drifting down
To a dirty, crowded town
I see the buses, bikes and cars
And old, drunk men
Coming out of bars
I think Ill land in that big tree
Oh no,
Oh my,
Now look at me!!!
Ive changed my mind
(Ive missed my spot)
Ill probably land
In that empty lot
Ill melt away
When the sun comes round
And then next year,
Without a sound,
Ill be a snowflake
Drifting down
To another
Unknown town.
12/22/1972 Author's Note: This is my very FIRST poem, written when I was 10. Simple, I know, but heck I was 10! LOL! I wrote it for an assignment in class, and it started everything...
