Palms Out

by Aaron Blair

I could turn my palms out
and surrender, thrust my hips up
to let you in, but you will never
love me more than you do right now,
while you have some use for yourself,
scrubbing the blood from my skin,
kissing the copper from my split lips,
holding me together with just your hands.

i really adore the flow to this, the content and language complement each other well.

Violent mixture of love/need/nuture. Great read that offers to stitch up the reader's lip after being hit with vibrant images.

You've said so much in a single sentence. Beautiful and brilliant.
