A pretty song if you do it right by Christina GleasonThese boys have short names,
one syllable
with a round vowel of a center,
easily moaned.
A soft beginning:
a sigh, a laugh,
a pretty song if you do it right.
A low lyric
in the back of the throat,
a rhyme to build up,
an arched tongue for
bait and a sticky
middle to bear it on,
a sharp inhalation
and then:
a stacatto chorus
and smooth lines
trilling their descant
to an end. 12/30/2003 Author's Note: I don't like this particularly but you keep writing, right? right.
