Don't Rush It

by Jane E Pearce

Hours subdued,
presents unwrapped,
we're full of food.

Spark more fragile,
after all the fandangos,
i'm not as agile.

The babe is born,
now,seed catalogues
hawking flowers and corn,

and all the advice-
what a bummer,
must be thin for the summer

spring ads for beauty and style,
don't rush it folks,
stay by the manger awhile.

Bills to be paid-never fear,
keep the new babe close,
to see you through next year.

"summer is a bummer" Neil, from The Young Ones (nobody is gonna get that, nevermind...) keep the newbabe close,...a nice line. this is what good writing is about. when you have passion, it bleeds into your words quite deeply.
