Don't Care For This Game No More (haiku string) by Anne EngelenLeft, barely alive
Bleeding invisible tears
Behind my smile
A perfect angel
In someone elses heaven
Lost in my own hell
God, when will you stop?
I dont want to play no more
Hide-and-seek , Im through
Am I too human
To see the wonder of You?
Let us both grow up

Posted by Max Bouillet on 12/22/03 at 07:46 PM Love the genius irony in the second stanza... perfect. If each stanza is a haiku, then could they be called stanzakus? Great verse. |
Posted by Kristine Briese on 12/23/03 at 03:58 AM This is amazing; I'm full of awe. "a perfect angel in someone else's heaven" "bleeding invisible tears" Absolutely incredible. |
Posted by Ashok Sharda on 12/24/03 at 02:43 PM Well, this expresses what is, impregnant with what should be. I read hopes. But I can also see past playing its game, causing doubts. |
