[This Title Would Be Profane]

by Trisha De Gracia

It isn't enough to tell her you're sorry.
It isn't enough to tell her that love's just a feeling.
It isn't enough just to say that you're bored
and leave her to sit through 4 classes and theatre smiling
before she can go home and joke like she's not thinking only 'bout you.

It isn't enough to say "we took a break" while you're wrestling some girl in plain view.
It's not enough to tell her what a nice outgoing girl she is
like you've never known her to begin with.

Do you know yourself?
'Devote your emotions but drop them when things get serious.'
Sounds like a motto for weak little boys
and I don't shame in saying you're far less than that
to do that to her.

You're lucky she's not angry yet.

You're lucky she gave you a second glance.
You're lucky for having 3 whole months with a person as awesome as she is.
No, not just "awesome as she is,"
her.
You're lucky for ever having her.

You're lucky she cared enough to kiss you.
You're lucky I don't know your address.
You're lucky that she ever took the time to look in your dried up eyes
to tell you she loves you.
You're lucky she means it.

How you can cut your ties so fast...
I'd like to tighten one right 'round your neck.

You're not enough
and you're lucky to ever have seen that smile.

Author's Note: She's not angry yet, but I am. And her brother is. And my cousin is. And everyone who pretty much knows what a fantastic person she is wants to hurt him deeply. Aggression is in the air and clinging to me.

I saw a guy who looked like him today. And felt the urge to punch him...

yes. yes. "You're lucky she cared enough to kiss you. You're lucky I don't know your address." this cracked me up, and i grinned, for i see you there, anime style, with fists clenched and spit coming from every hole. ;) but uh, less grahpically, this is awesome. you've got quite the spine, and an even better heart, love. you'll have to tell me what happened.

Reading this all over again, I AM lucky he left! Last time I saw him, he had grown patchy facial hair and was using a fake ID. Big progress!
