Just don't forget who you really are, she would always say
and then she would wrap her arms around my friend in foreplay.
She would confess to wanting someone else but being with me
and she figured that such harsh truth was to help us with honesty.
I would confess to wanting her out of my life and stuck on the curb
since she just wanted to come around and smoke all my herb.
So maybe life isn't all that it's cracked up to be
and maybe we're all too damn blind to really see.
When we're searching for the mule that we're riding on
and we question ourselves when we want to wake up at dawn.
When we pay our sweat and blood over to someone who doesn't care
when we find out that everything in life isn't always fair.
When we get all of it taken away after working so hard
having them treat us like we're some kind of retard.
So what if I'm a little different than the rest,
some people might think that makes you the best.
hey not in this life, they want to tear you down
and make you wear the silly hat when you're the class clown.
So just don't forget who you really were
since I don't ever listen to me or her...
