Mental toys by Aaron Howard
Tired of being the whipping boy
Wanting something more than a mental toy
Dreaming f a better life to share
wanting something lack the high care
Wishing to find no more sorrow
Hoping to wake up happy tomorrow
Grasp my hand and take me home
Just so we can be alone.
Doubting the faith but pointing the finger
the on my lips that still seems to linger
Asking the questions to things I already know
and still second guessing to all the emotions you show
Grasping at a straw for that glimpse of joy
and not some long forgotten mental toy.
