Winter's Dance

by Adrian Calhoun

Dancing effortlessly,
floating on air.
A million partners share the stage,
embracing with ease.
Ever so gently nestling together,
until all are gracefully seated.

No longer dancing upon the breeze,
sharing this blanket of white.

Like dreams of childhood fantasy,
winters delight has arrived.
The snow, has fallen.

Author's Note: We had flakes as big as quarters at times. It was a beautiful thing to watch. Since I was out in it for most of the night, I got to watch a lot of it LOL.

What a beautiful way to capture the imagery of our freshly fallen snow. I especially love the last 4 lines of the 1st stanza. It reminds me of Shakespeare. Wonderful and vivid read. I can picture it in my minds eye. Good word Sweetheart. And NO I am not biased, lol. XOXOXO

Very visual! Watching the 'dance of snow' can be great enjoyment especially when the flakes are large! Enjoyed the read!
