Raining Tears

by Christel Crews

It's raining on Christmas' Eve
Surrounded by holiday cheer
Kill me now, the sun won't be out today

I move through festivities
It rained again last night
Does anyone care, of course not

The holidays are here

What is there to celebrate?
A life I wish weren't mine
While loved one's display their good fortune

My heart shuts down

It's raining on Christmas' Eve
Surrounded by holiday cheer
Kill me now, let me escape my misery

Author's Note: take what you will- the holidays can be a blessing and a curse, depending on where you stand on this path called life.

Hi Christel, Good one. Yes, the holidays can be very good or very bad for some. Due to lost of family or friends, etc. Life is very good. To help one another and what you make out of your life. Can and may help ease one's pain. Not to let it eat away at ya, thanks not good for the heart, mind, body and soul. Bless you.
