Poem 'bout John, cause he asked by Mainon A SchwartzTo slam/to skewer: wouldn't the sarcasm come all too easily? I'm trained in it, you know.
You ask for what you couldn't handle-- a dangerous mistake, like the cup that overfilled itself with wine, forgetting that the handle was unused to intoxication. It fell apart.
And if bringing friends to a movie is a change to which you can't adapt, then sit back & watch the changes in style, tone, pace... ... ... ...
[so much left out for propriety]
... ... ... ... and you'd be left underdeveloped like weak film, not quite able to communicate the picture. I'm clear-cut, and people pay me to douse them with chemicals, so I'd steer clear.
An ego is only as good as its superego, and the superintendents fled this building long ago. 12/12/2003 Author's Note: Commissioned poems are even worse than topics, cause you have to worry about not offending anyone. Well, okay, maybe I don't worry about that so much. But in any case, if it sucks, blame him. If you're curious, here's his response: "you're the one who calls herself a poet, yet runs from love. What an enlightening poem. [And]the majority of that is empty, you wasted your time." *Shrug* And so artists aren't appreciated by their peers, and you proved my point about not being able to handle it. Cheers.
