Topic: The World is All Blurry Without My Glasses

by Amanda J Cobb

You took my clarity
and ran,
daring me to follow you
through minefields
and six-lane traffic,
never imagining for a minute
that I would make it.

I have depth perception
of space,
not people.

And I don't wear my contacts
because my pain is your prerogative,
and I wouldn't want to see
the look of glee on your face anyway.

I got a clear picture of feeling blind, seeing forms and shapes but not knowing what is safe. I like it!!!
