Crushed

by Vikki Owens

Just another delicate opening,
another bloodied hymen,
just another crushed girl spread eagled beneath you..
another broken face, another split mouth with tears
running rivulets on the bedsheets...

......

You can hear a crushed heart beating, time like cool clockwork,
a steadied hand, only habit, beneath the weight
of his body, beneath the force of his fists...
a prayer sighed through spattered words...

......

Just another woman, just another girl, with bruises and
crushed fingers, seed implanted, sent home crying...
