Bitter Pill

by Jersey D Gibson

Always the pessimist,
things just go the wrong way.
You expect an overcast,
on an otherwise perfect day.

Why bother looking up to things,
when you look forward to nothing.
To negative to commit suicide,
don't consider what life might bring.

You say that life sucks,
then you take a bitter pill.
Make sarcasm your best friend,
you don't, but I think you will.

The wrong way on a one-way street,
things with you just go that way.
Murphy's law doesn't take account for you,
why bother living through this day?

Behind every door is more bad luck,
every suprise will bring you down.
Why bother picking yourself up,
when you do nothing but hug the ground.

Eat sour grapes with bad wine,
then take your bitter pill.
Every x-ray a portait of doom,
All your mail is another bill.

So dismal, so well written, so like too many people. Great work, Jersey.
