Topic: You Will Know Me (By The Trail Of The Dead) by J. P. Davies
I am a shuddering shadow
shouting monosylllabic curses
racing across this desolate landscape
a brooding menace aggregating for you
A tortuous mass of vile thought
peircing in pitch and stagnant in smell
I am the rotting center of a
world gone horribly askew
despondently I trace a path
of no resistance or refrain
I am a cyclone of despair
and as the wails of the countless
victims reach your cognizant ears
will you walk away,
or dash with all your sinew?
as I approach the gates
of your hallowed home
you will know me...
by the trail of the dead.

Posted by Trisha De Gracia on 12/05/03 at 03:36 AM Very nice very nice, and the HTML seems to working quite well for you. I'm fond of the second stanza, it's quite... hmm... (is poetic too vague of a term?). Anyways, Well done. |
