Out in the Woods

by Karl Waldbauer

Staring into a whirlpool
the creek created for me,
saw galaxies,
a black hole swirling
drew me into
a liquid tornado,
brought me closer to you.

Walking under arches
made by fragrant tree limbs,
felt silken moss;
warm breeze caresses
let me know then
an ethereal touch
was you by my side.

Embracing a canyon
I became the stone walls
merged with our Earth.
Molten lava deep down
keeping it hot,
you, being water,
carved your mark on me.

This is such a magnificent scene Karl. I totally lost myself in these images painted by you. Just beautiful:)

An awesome verse showing the way we are interconnected with the earth and the universe around us. How we can derive spiritual meaning if we just take the time and look. Great verse.

Simply excellent! A bottomless vortex in a shadowy wood. Thanks for posting.

...tis a passive carving, this becoming in the sea..we unfold and are made by the falling, the making is but a spew.
