All it took was one smile
and I knew.
I never expected to see you again,
not really anyhow.
I pushed you away,
and turned tail and fled.
You just stood there and looked puzzled.
And life went on
and I figured that was that
I never believed in second chances
and yet there you were today
as beautiful and perfect as ever,
and all it took was one smile
and I knew
that things were right back where we left them off.
So I sighed with relief
and fell back into your eyes
I always did feel beautiful there.
