Fiery Red

by Dana E Brossard

Fiery red,
She dances and spins,
To the music of her soul.

Alluring and happy,
She pulls the men,
Into her dance of fun.

Her heat,
Is too much for some,
Too cool for others.

But she dances still,
Free as can be,
Merry in her heart.

Until the Shadow,
Dark yet tempting,
Called her from her dance.

Comfort and peace,
Offered unto her,
Pulled her into the night.

But the Shadow,
Seeks the brightest light,
And soon is gone.

Flames erupt,
Anger and malice burn,
Fury fills her soul.

All who approach,
Are burned and scorned,
The fire dances alone now.

Soon he comes,
A flame matched to hers,
Heart to Heart.

Together they dance,
As one together,
A perfect union.

Fiery red,
She dances and spins,
To the music of her soul and his.

Author's Note: The Shadow smiles slowly and grants good wishes to the Fiery Red and her darling blue-eyed baby Red.

a happy ending! I like the contrasts and use of colour, lively and emotional piece here. Well done.
