Fear

by Teri T Lahmon

That unnameable phenomenon
You have created within me
Makes me tremble.
I quiver with anticipation
Quake with fear
everytime you touch me.
Were I to give in completely
And allow myself to be overwhelmed
Would it be that clandestine union I anticipate?
Or would I be lost as I fear?
Would I be discarded
And become some forgotten and empty thing?
Confused and voiceless but for the
lonely chatterings that beg to know
why they have been made to suffer
Would I wonder sombre and jaded
Secretly yearning for bygone days
For that inner phenomenon
For the tremble

Its fear of the fear rather than a fear. you are projecting a fear out of fear of this fear. haha
