What We Don't Know by Kate DemereeI did not want to know That you would go That what we shared You could share with another There is no excuse, no reason Which you can give to me To ease the feeling of being betrayed
I may not wear your name Or your ring You wear no binding Placed upon you by me Yet you branded me Marked me deeper than any other In places no one can see
Once again I'll swear Off men Oh God
I did not want To see
When you return God knows what you'll find I feel as if I am slowly going Out of my mind

| Posted by Maureen Glaude on 11/20/03 at 04:19 AM even when there's no ring, there's an understanding between hearts, and when that seems easily replaced by another, it's excruciating. The only thing to know, though it's not enough to make it heal yet, is that it's his loss most of all. We love ya, Kate - important message well-given |
