Delta of Divinity (Adult Theme) by Ken HarnischI paw at the delta of divinity
While you, like Spielberg, direct my fingers
To the lovely spots
Where the feelings used to be.
Some jaded light flickers in your eyes
For men who were not me
For moments that I didnt know
For faces from the long ago
Now as cloudy as their names.
We grow old but not with
Any sense it has been worth a damn
And seeking that one last
Orgiastic Everest
We ply on with hopeful,
Jaded hearts
I sup at the delta of divinity
And you shudder at
The touching of a nerve
You thought the surgeons killed
So many years ago
You guide my head to the
Sweetness, where the dancer
Was the diva; where the lady was a queen
And in our thoughts, so distanced
From our act,
We come to the same place
Rising to the moment
But stirring only leaves 11/18/2003 Posted on 11/18/2003 Copyright © 2024 Ken Harnisch

Posted by Agnes Eva on 11/23/03 at 07:40 AM yes, launches us right in to a scene and its "jaded, hopeful" feeling. has that slice of life bitterness edge despite the obvious pleasures involved |
Posted by Maureen Glaude on 01/08/04 at 04:26 PM wow. The journal of veteran love-makiing, it seems. Kind of gets under the layers, doesn't it? Superb. Kind of haunting, thinking of the other person perceiving so much. |
