Random Love Ramblings: 1

by Trisha De Gracia

I can't believe in those stupid ideals
about love.
When you got it you're laughing,
when you don't
you either wish you had it
or wish you could forget it,
and when you're not quite sure
it's got to be pushed-
to love or from.

In any case
straddling a fence has never been easy.

But nothing worth keeping is easy.
Love, with you and me
thing's will never be easy.
Not with all of that fire between us
all that soothes and all that burns
alike.

Indeed I believe
that loving you
is probably one of the hardest things
I could ever hope to perfectly accomplish
because building anything
especially between you and me
probably takes more patience than we've ever shown for eachother.
To be sure
loving you right
and you loving me
might be close to impossible.
Maybe creating the perfect love
is completely and utterly futile.

Now, that said,
you've always told me
not to call you perfect.
And in return
I've always said
You're always perfect for me.

Now that we've come out and said it
have we broken the spell?
The answer's in the question.
What did we say.
Why did we say it.
Do you know the difference?

I do.
Dreaming is the difference.
Dreaming's not the enemy.
Dreaming is the only thing that makes it
but you got to hold it tight
and not let it go when you let go of everything else,
of your inhibitions
of your lies and your masks.
No need to delude yourself
just don't put your feet in cold water
when it's just as easy to sink into a warm bath

...with me :)

Author's Note: Well this should be in thoughts bits and rambling, but it's about love, so I decided to put it here. It's not QUITE poetry. It's more me and a inner conversation, again. But please, tell me your opinions anyways :)
