you stand. Poised
pristine
perfect.
You are the all-hailed beauty
the picturesque vision
of what everyone wants you to be.
You reflect their desires.
You achieve what they wish they could achieve
soar like they've never dreamed.
You, the conduit
through which they channel their sheepish
unimpressive
run of the mill
normal lives.

You are not their air
you are the very flesh they live in.
You are the very skin they tear apart
when they can't make it like you.
You are not the pill
you are the throat that swallows it.

And still you keep on achieving
performing the impossible
and living up to their dreams.
Letting these hopeless fools live through you.
