Fragments of intermission
by Karen MichelleWall to wall sunlight
breathes life into these
weary limbs and I
awaken to embrace
the freshness of morning.
Daybreak, an apology simpliciter
for the failure of night,
and I take it wholeheartedly
embracing the warmth
of momentary forgiveness.
