Knock-Knock (for Rusty)

by Jane E Pearce

I can hear musical chairs,
blind man's bluff,and giggles
through thin walls of time.
Open the door..let me in again!
Innocent dreams full
of lollipops, and cotton candy,
happy days of playmates,
hopscotch on the walk,
baby dolls, decoder rings,
sweet security blanket of love
moth eaten by the years.
Open the door..please..let me in again!

happy nostalgia! I like how this is a little ode to RCat's poems, he does elicit those kind of feelings totally
