a child dreams of passion

by Indigo Tempesta

i have a dream
of a tall, still boy
a girl
a boy

in a cowboy hat, watching
the floor show

in my dream
she takes my body
in her embrace
and lifts me to her
light

when she's pensive
i watch her hanging there
and i've found her
observing me
                                   dangling

in my dream
her low voice fills me
warming down my throuat
warming me from the inside out

juvenile me dreaming
in the warm october sun
of the uneventful odd
fall in oberlin.

Such careful words - you weave an amazing display of images. I am always impressed. :)
