Painting Your Need (Suggestive)

by Ken Harnisch

That I would divine such a kiss is no mistake

It is yours that bewitched this helpless man

And if I can steal a soft one as you wake

It will be but heaven; can I die again?

And if my arms could, in their hot embrace

Paint your need in liquid fire

And if my lips, pressed to your face,

Would fill all fountains with desire

Would that be all we needed, so

You would cease your exit and return

And coming back to me you know

How high this fire will truly burn

And I would love you through the night

Then stay beside you in the light

The whole poem is sensual and beautiful, the last two lines... loving.... Wonderful to read!
