cheap-day excretion - marination by Laura Doom
...
glimmering
shimmering
guttersperm spawning depravity's germ
glistening
glittering
sterilization's too good for this worm
The septic sea sighs
at a silhouette's cries
releasing a sequence of binary streams
the lie decompresses
low life coalesces
revealing, in series, identical dreams
I'd give... nectar spiked with grief
pain with no relief
null is our need, maleficent creed, a mantra embodying greed, greed, greed
nothing to give
I'd give... lovers to live
I'd give everyone up
for my time on parole
make me an offer, I'll sell you my soul
The code currents flow
through the programmer's show
in ciphered secretions, the keepsakes of peace
The cortex is beckoned
deployed, filed and reckoned
a matrix of violence dot comrades release
We'll take everything
pleasure in pain
rhetorical queries transacted in vain
tight fingertips trace
a self-satisfied face
returning the call of a waterwake swirl
A null vector ride
on the matrical slide
all along the grey mile beta blossoms unfurl
savouring
slavering
cellular siblings in servitude sing
swallowing
wallowing
world-wearied waterborne virus we bring
the wake is watching over me
a travesty of fire beneath the sybaritic sea...

Posted by Richard D Frederick on 11/11/03 at 11:57 PM lovely. really. and although the language sometimes made me stop to search my own rusty memory, when it came to me it was that much better. hard to read, but worth it when you're through. as a whole, the rhyme, when present was well constructed. an odd scheme that i loved when i read it. |
