(Dream) My time in Egypt
by Aaron Howard Im walking through a pass in between some sand dunes as I keep approaching the valley, I can see black skinned workers walking towards me.. I hear them talking but I cant understand the dialect they are speaking in.. I can understand what the slave masters are saying as they crack whips against the hides of the slave workers, but I pass them and start to get a better view of the valley
I can see thousands of people, like ants.. slowly putting together a large white pyramid.. Im in shock over the large scale of humanity at workand can see workers carrying large slabs of what appears to be marble towards the site of the pyramid.
As I keep walking down this log path.. I see workers strapping wood blocks, that resemble ΒΌ of a circle to the sides of this huge block of sandstone it seems the ones before had broken in the movement down the makeshift road I oversee them strapping it in and it answers my questions of how they moved these massive blocks of stone into place from where they were carved from..
They finish strapping the pieces and hook ropes to the stone and start to pull there must be 300 men pulling on those ropes It strikes me that I could climb on top of the stone and get a better view of the valley by grabbing the edging and having the momentum pull me up I approach the stone and grab onto the ledge and pull myself up as the stone rights itself the scene is massive.. all these people working together to make this idol to their king.. I see all these people slaving over stones I cant make out how many.. but its massive Its noon so the days hot.. I can feel the sweat running down my back as the lack of a cool breeze is there to cool my face while I back step on the huge stone block
As Im walking backwards, I slip not realizing that my sandals dont have that well of a grip on the
Stone slab I slide under the front of the block at the wrong time and can feel the block pressing against my back I wake up in a cold sweat
11/06/2003 Author's Note: I had this dream a while ago, but found it on my old hard drive... this one really reminds me of reincarnation since it was so lifelike.. I dont think my mind could have made up something like this, just for the massive scale of people and action.. usually my dreams don\'t involve such detail..
